Beerligroup AG (referred to below as ‘we’ or ‘us’) places great importance on protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit www.beerligroup.ch or contact us, for what purposes and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Our website does not contain a contact form. If you contact us by email or telephone, or order a book by email, we will process the information you provide (e.g. name, email address, telephone number, postal address and the content of your message) in order to respond to your enquiry, process your order and clarify any follow-up questions.

We use Google Workspace (Google) for our email communications. Your emails are stored on Google’s servers, including those located outside Switzerland.

We retain this data for as long as necessary to deal with your request and, beyond that, where required by statutory retention obligations, for example for business correspondence and accounting records.

Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you access the website, technically necessary data is processed, including your IP address, the date and time of access, the address requested, the referrer URL, and browser and operating system information. This data is needed to deliver the website, ensure its security and stability and detect misuse. It is not combined with other data sources and is deleted in accordance with Vercel’s retention periods.

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to analyse the use and technical performance of our website only if you click ‘Accept’ in the cookie notice. These services are not loaded without your consent.

The data recorded includes pages visited, referrer, country, device, browser and operating system type, loading times, interactions such as opening articles, profiles or practice groups, and scroll depth. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies for this purpose. We use this data only in aggregate form, not to identify you personally, and do not transmit names, email addresses or message contents.

Our website itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. We save your choice in the cookie notice (‘Accept’ or ‘Decline’) in your browser’s local storage (localStorage), so that the notice does not reappear on every visit. This information does not leave your device.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the ‘Cookie settings’ link in the website footer. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

Some articles contain embedded YouTube videos (Google). We use privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). As soon as such a video is displayed, your browser connects to YouTube or Google servers, transmitting data including your IP address and the page visited. YouTube may process further data when you play the video. Google’s privacy policy applies.

The fonts on our website are served from our own server; no connection is made to Google Fonts.

Our website contains links to external services, such as LinkedIn profiles. Following such a link takes you away from our website. The respective provider is responsible for processing data on those pages.

Some of the service providers mentioned (Vercel, Google) also process personal data in the USA and other countries that do not always provide a level of data protection equivalent to Swiss law. In these cases, we rely on the safeguards provided for by law, in particular the provider’s certification under the Swiss–U.S. or EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or contractual safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss and misuse. The connection to our website is encrypted throughout (HTTPS).

Under applicable data protection law, you have the right to access your personal data, to have it rectified, erased or the processing restricted, to have your data disclosed or transferred, as well as the right to object to the processing and to withdraw any consent you have given.
