Sandra Vontobel joins Beerligroup as a Senior Executive
Sandra Vontobel is a Swiss certified public accountant (dipl. Wirtschaftsprüferin) and lawyer (lic. iur., University of Bern) with more than 20 years of experience in finance and audit. After seven years in audit at a Big Four firm, she spent eleven years heading group accounting at an international sports marketing group.
During this time she led the group’s accounting function through a comprehensive transformation: she converted financial reporting from Swiss GAAP FER to IFRS, optimised processes, introduced new, scalable finance systems across the group and supported acquisitions through to integration. Standardising, automating and digitalising accounting led to significantly shorter closing processes and markedly improved the quality of data, financial statements and reporting. All of this under three owners, each with different expectations. As a result, she knows the different dynamics of family-run companies and start-ups as well as those of private-equity-owned firms.
For more than twelve years she has also served as a board member with a focus on finance. She chairs an audit committee and, as external chair of a board of directors, is helping to shape a succession process.
Executive boards receive from her a basis for decisions that holds up in front of the board of directors. Boards of directors gain someone who knows how the figures come about and where to ask questions. Her keen sense for people and situations also contributes significantly to the successful development of companies.
