Marcel Bach

Marcel Bach has over 40 years’ professional experience – ranging from the workshop floor through technical project and management roles to corporate leadership. For nearly 30 years, he has led projects, teams, business units and companies within industrial SMEs and international organisations. As CEO and COO, he has led and developed organisations in the automotive, mechanical and plant engineering sectors, as well as in industrial services.

His areas of expertise lie in operational management, organisational development, restructuring and transformation. His leadership experience also encompasses challenging crisis and exceptional situations. Particularly when under intense time and decision-making pressure, he provides direction, takes responsibility and acts decisively.

His leadership style is clear, assertive and results-oriented. He sets out clear objectives, conveys clarity and knows how to win over managers and staff to embrace change.

His career path combines practical experience with a solid technical and business education: from lorry mechanic to mechanical engineer (HTL/FH) to a Global Executive MBA from the University of St Gallen (HSG) and the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. This combination enables him to understand operational realities as well as strategic and entrepreneurial contexts – and to bring together different perspectives, from the workshop floor to the board of directors.

Today, Marcel Bach supports companies as an interim manager, project manager and senior executive adviser during periods of change, crisis and transition – offering an analytical and strategically sound approach, combined with a pragmatic mindset and a strong track record in implementation.
