Ralph Sutter

Ralph Sutter has over 21 years’ experience in the innovative implementation of regulation in the crypto sector, financial market law, banking supervision, compliance and corporate governance in Switzerland, the EEA and offshore jurisdictions (BVI, Cayman Islands, Bahamas, Channel Islands, Isle of Man).

As a founder and entrepreneur, Secretary-General of the Board of Directors, and a member of senior management and the executive echelon in both the public sector and the private sector, he has, as a lawyer and qualified criminologist, been enabling the implementation of new business models for over 30 years. Since 2018, he has held various roles in Cryptovalley, including as a team leader at hackathons, as Head of Compliance at Switzerland’s first cryptobank, and as part of the core team drafting the new legislation to regulate stablecoins. As a result, he is in close contact with all industry associations (SBVg, VSKB, CVA, SBF and CMTA), for example in the fintech sector, where he helped with the roll-out of multi-banking by the SBVg.

As a trainer, he has taught students at HF, FH and university level for 33 years, coached staff at supervisory authorities and trained investigators from an intelligence service in investigations relating to crypto-assets.

With his network in Cryptovalley and the traditional financial sector, as well as his experience in the private sector and public administration, he can, for example, act as an independent board member to fulfil the necessary bridging role between the various stakeholders and drive forward new business models in compliance with regulations and in the interests of clients.
